Thirteen point one

We totally ran a half marathon a couple weeks ago in Provo. It was awesome! It was cold, windy and snowy, but there was enough people in the race to take a little of the sting away and we're runners so we don't complain about that stuff anyway, right? Dave hadn't run at all for three months due to tendinitis in his knee, but he ran all 13.1 miles with Mom. They had some great bonding time. They're practically inseparable now. Dad finished second in his age group! Way to go padre! Our devoted fans. They followed us all over the course and provided much-needed boosts. Grandma was there too, but was trying to find a parking spot in the crowded streets while we were all finishing. Gabe was cold... and cute as always post-race Bananas and oranges..... mmmm mmm goodness

Spring Break

After what seemed like a cold and snowy spring, we were in the mood for some warm sunshine. So, off we went to sunny Arizona to take in some DBacks baseball, visit the temple, and stay with cousins, Doug and LaRee. We enjoyed the Sonoran desert landscape with all it's prickly plants and wildflowers. We attended 2 DBacks games against the Cardinals. The first game went in favor of the DBacks in 10 innings 7-6 with Eric Byrnes hitting a walk off single. The second game in which we were freezing our baseball buns off went to the Cardinals 12-7. We arrived 2 hours early to this game hoping to get some autographs (Albert Pujols), but no such luck as he did not even emerge from the dugout until game time. Oh well, at least Bill and Gabe collected a couple of home run balls during batting practice. One ball, in particular, was gained as the result of a scuffle between Bill and another hard core baseball fan dressed in camo. You'll have to get the nitty gritty details from him.

Mom

Dear Mom,

We want pictures of Dad in a polar bear costume with a grass skirt.

Sincerely,
