Happy Birthday Mom!

Just a few reasons why mom is so wonderful and beautiful and why I admire her so much...

1. Her adventuresome spirit. Mom loves to hike, to garden, to explore and just be outside. One of my most favorite things to do with Mom is to look for wildflowers.

2. Her cooking skills! She is often modest about her cooking skills, but after 18 years of homemade meals I can honestly say that Mom's food is scrumptious. She spends a lot of time in the kitchen to make others happy.

3. Her Willy Wonka sun glasses :) and sense of fashion. You'll never see her on What not to Wear. She could probably be the host!

4. Her sense of humor. Sometimes when Mom gets laughing, her face turns red and she can't control the giggles. It's soooooo funny. The cause for her laughter is usually Dad... or rhubarb. ;)

5. Her mothering skills. If it weren't for Mom, Gabe would look like a little tomatoe and we'd all be lost.

6. Her endurance. Mom LOVES TO RUN and she's good at it. She sets goals and works hard to acheive them. Nothing stops this girl. Sometimes when I don't feel like going out for a run, I think of Mom out there braving whatever the obastacle is and that gets me out the door.

7. Her support. Mom has been frozen and fried through countless track meets, baseball games, cross country meets, and football games. But nonetheless, she's always there and she knows more about sports than any Mom I know.

8. Her talent. Mom is so incredibly talented. She's an artist, a musician, an athlete, a teacher, a cook, an actress, a historian, a mime, a gardener, a dancer, a scholar, a leader, a friend, and a mother. And she's really really good at everything she does.

I love you Mom!
